
Before working at J.Crew, I was not familiar with women’s jackets. Although I loved the brand, my personal style did not reflect that of an adult. During the New Crown outbreak, I exclusively wore Lou & Grey. The companies I worked for, including Perry Ellis, Free People, and Lou & Grey, did not specialize in women’s jackets, so my wardrobe reflected the products I was exposed to on a daily basis.
A definition for women’s jackets
A ladies jacket is a versatile piece of clothing that can be used as a top, third piece, or coat. It is feminine and timeless. Although many people associate ladies jackets with tweed fabrics, J.Crew designers have created new and exciting options.
The speaker owns several women’s jackets and appreciates their construction. I don’t mean structured in the strict sense of the word; rather, I am referring to the composition of the garment. The shorter, almost three-quarter length allows for versatility in pairing with different outfits. Additionally, I appreciate that the sleeves of women’s jackets always extend to my wrists, which I find to be a trendy and feminine style.
