I’m a big fan of a good belt. When I look back at my style, it feels like the most consistent thing in my style is accessorizing with a belt. I’m pretty sure everyone has at least one belt in their closet. Sure, belts are incredibly versatile, but for me, I’ve always thought of them as an accessory or a beloved third piece. A belt can take your look to the next level and make you feel more put together.

Belts in Your Closet

Thin Belt
I have been using this thin belt for almost two years now. It’s my go-to belt because it’s so easy! PLUS, the 2319283081 holes make it so versatile. I can wear them over jeans that are lower on the hips, over dresses that are higher on the waist, and even use it for a little sweater folding trick when I want to wear skirts and sweaters. When it comes to what belts you should have in your closet, I think a skinny belt is a must.

The Woven Belt
The woven belt works really well in the spring and summer. I don’t know why, I just think it’s perfect for the season. I used to own the belt above and was so angry that I donated it a few years ago. I don’t think it really suited me at the time, until I really defined my personal style.

The Statement Belt
OK, let’s talk about statement belts. These are one-of-a-kind pieces that you usually keep at the back of your wardrobe. But sometimes a look just isn’t complete without a statement belt. That’s why I wanted to include them in this list. Even if it’s not your most worn belt, there’s nothing worse than having the perfect look in mind, but missing out on what makes it a look. And you know what?

The Lifting Belt
And finally, a raised belt. We love a high belt. Reserved for those outfits you KNOW are good. The outfits that feel so timeless and can be worn over and over again. But they’re still simple in a way, aren’t they?
